Hi everyone, I switched to Chromium from Firefox a while back, but I
have been missing a few plugins -- the most important for me was the
mozex plugin, primarily for the ability to edit plain text Gmail in
emacs.

Anyway, I whipped up a quick and dirty Chrome extension to accomplish
this.  It's a pretty big hack, but I figured some other people might
find it useful as-is or as a base for modifications.  You can easily
modify it to use another editor besides emacs or to work with
arbitrary textareas on websites.
