I noticed that as of Chrome Linux 4.0.237.0, trying to run Chrome with
--load-extension or by using the Load Extension button (during debug
mode) doesn't work if some of the extension files are symlinks outside
of the extension dir. I get errors like "Could not load background
page ''." or "Could not load content script ''."

Before I filed a bug, I wanted to see if this was instead a "feature".
