Maybe a bit dumb ... but what do they actually represent? 'weekly installs' is fairly straightforward. I assume it is the number of installs in the last week, or maybe a rolling average over the past few weeks.
But what about 'users' ? Is this the number of users that _currently_ have the extension installed ? The total number of users that have ever installed the extension, even if they have removed it afterward? Does Chromium notify the gallery when an extension is removed (to decrease the counter) ? Are those unique users (according to some uuid I'm not aware of)? If I install an extension twice on the same browser (install - remove - install), do I get 2 users? I'm asking because I noticed the number of users of my extension increasing and then decreasing a bit wildly. It may have been a glitch in the counting code, but it caused the above questions to pop into my mind. Are there any docs for my questions? The help page linked from the gallery ( http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/topic.py?topic=25692 ) doesn't contain any.
