For some reason, this is not the case for me.

I faced an error earlier mentioning something about quota (when
invoking a bookmarks.create() ), so maybe this error has something to
do with the (still standing) issue.

Hopefully, it will be resolved by tomorrow - if it's a glitch or has
to do with sync related quotas.
