I understand that this is contrary to the chrome philosophy but I need to make an extension that is similar to the stumbleupon toolbar. I know this involves modifying the DOM to stick an iframe at the top of the page. However, I've been unable to find many examples on modifying the DOM in a chrome extension so I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with a quick example or helpful link.
