Apart from those deliberately destroyed, archives in Spain tend to be understudied and often not even properly indexed, so that often historians find interesting documents almost by chance.

Thank you for sharing these interesting Australian War Memorial files, both of which are new to me.
 
Spain's 'neutrality' in the Second World War will no doubt remain shrouded in mystery for many years to come.
 
Perhaps the full story will never be revealed; was it ever thus where there is much to hide.
