Agree with Stan (and David). I don't think it was meant as a put-down. But WSC, that gifted wordsmith, saw humor in it that the writer probably didn't see. Surely it was only read to his family because the recipient got a huge kick out of it. In the end, too, he didn't think much of "Mr. David Windsor."
