The question is how "terrorism" is defined.

If violence is a necessary element, I agree that Senator Cruz is not a
terrorist.

If, however, the word is read in a broader sense to include economic
threats, threats to livelihood, or simple intimidation‹as I believe it is in
modern usage‹then he would qualify.
