This is an interesting subject to me. I have performed my one-man Churchill play for 16 years. My portrayal certainly aims to approximate to Churchill's in timbre and rhythm, hopefully enough to satisfy an audience. You judge!

I liked Richard Burton's Churchill, although he spoke in his own trademark way with little attempt to imitate Churchill, because he loaned the tremendous power of his voice and personality and transmuted it into Churchill's.
