I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. A disclaimer: the 'Frenchmen' joke was not
Churchill's - it was a contemporary joke that I took artistic license in
adding!
Churchill also did not say 'The French have been our natural enemies for a
thousand years; I see no reason why that should change' - it was said by
AJP Taylor in a TV interview. I borrowed that too! as I thought it quite
Churchillian.
