Ok. The end result that words.... $./configure --enable-mmx --prefix=/usr/local --enable-opengl This is with the videodevice fix, and the swapping of libx264 for the pic version.
I did need to run ldconfig before it would run, as it installs some libraries, but couldn't find them, as ldconfig hadn't been run!! So it starts, I have the gui up! I'll start testing everything and making sure it doesn't crash!!
