Hannes, After a fresh reboot, I started Cinelerra and the system was using 500MB memory at that time. I then performed some operations within Cinelerra including rendering which used up to 1367MB of memory. I then exited Cinelerra and the system memory usage was 1139MB. During the experiment, I used no other programs..no browser, no mail, nothing. Just Cinelerra and Gnome window manager.
