OK. I'm tempted to say, "Oh yeah, that'll fix it!" but I know how
these things are and I do not wish to tarnish the gift that Cinelerra
has been. I will learn to use Kino, or dvgrab, or both,... whatever it
takes,
I am now just bothered by the announcement in the camera manual that
the date and time will not be transferred to the computer. This is not
a bug, they planned it that way. Is there another camera that would do
it. I can rent a Sony PD-150 to shoot, but I don't want to rent one of
those again to play back the tapes.
Thanks for the outpouring of assistance. This is a good group and the
response has been beyond my expectations. I'll take some time to
experiment with kino and dvgrab and if I have problems you'll be the
first to know.
