[CinCVS] Still Pictures not exactly in the manual

I know the cinelerra manual speaks of using still pictures.  The thing 
is - I've learned that I can't use any old picture; it has to be from a 
.png file.  When I try renaming the extension from a .jpg file to .ifo, 
then I try loading that file, cinelerra completely crashes - I mean 
dissappears along with any work if I didn't save it.  When I rename the 
.png extension to .ifo, everything is fine.  Then I can load, drag and 
drop all I want.  The manual mentions nothing of this.
