hi, I hope you've the time to answer and this is the right way to take a question.
The main reason to use the cinelerra software is for me the feature ac3. I've p.h. an installation on amd32 asus k8v/onboard sound; suse 10.2. The installation with standard packages was not ac3-funktional. I compiled the sources by my self. Now AC3 was available. There is just a Problem still: After rendering a AC3 with 6 korrect cannels, the file.ac3 has'nt the right cannels. The cannels are switched. Switched on the same system and at an other system too. So I tryed many things, to get a solution. (unsuccesfull) I hered that the developement of Cinelerra is done on Fedora. So I think its better to use fedora. At an other Installation on amd64 msi k8N/onboard sound; Fedora 7 I have also Problems. The standard Packages are ok, but no AC3 is available. It is possible to connect the audio-device default, then there is stereo. After connecting audio-device #1 there are speakers rear active. device #2 - center/LFE is active. device 3 - side speakers are activ. All 6 speakers are not together accesable. (8 Speakers are not neccesury) Dyne:bolic live cd has the same behavior. Is there a possibility to connect the cannnels? Jack-soundserver ??? So I want to compile cinelerra at this system (fedora 7) also by myself. But the "make" terminates. All modules (seen in config) are available, nothing is missing. (sx264, x264-devel .....OpenEXR-devel). AT the system is AC3 sound p.h. available with kaffeine & dvb- radio (6 cannels). To think about: The ./config shows various messages about "enabled no" per herbs "a52 enabled no"..... I hope You' ve an Idea.
