hmm.  This shouldn't happen.  Make sure when you save your subtitle
files from gaupol that they are SubRip .srt files, with utf-8 encoding.

The script I have will just take your movie_en.srt file and make a
"movie_en" directory with the pngs.   You need to have a separate srt
file for each language.

that was a coding mistake of mine.  I had fixed it before, but forgot to
upload it.  I now tried to fix it again...so please go and download
makespumux.py from my site again and let me know how it goes.

also, you can use any truetype font you want.  just edit the
makespumux.py file and change the location.  You don't have to use
Bitstream Vera.

menus are a little tricky.  I usually make a short video as a seamless
loop in cinelerra and overlay the menu options over that.
