I have 3 separate SubRip .srt files, one for each language, utf-8
encoded, from Gnome Subtitles.

I have 3 directories, with subtitle pngs, all starting from sub2.png.

Fixed! I have all my special characters back!

I'm discovering Qdvdauthor is supposed to do all this job nicely (from
subtitle creation to muxing and subtitles menu creation). I'm
discovering also either me or Qdvdauthor is a little buggy.
