Scale-wise, the ME3800X is bigger than the ME3600X and ASR920. Not sure if an RSP upgrade to the ASR903 would create a viable upgrade path for the ME3800X. Maybe Cisco are working on a version of the ASR920 that can replace the ME3800X, given more of the software development and improvements in hardware will be on the ASR920 anyway.
