We just went to 5.3.4 SP1 and we are already seeing CSCvc20077 on a few chassis.

I am waiting to hear back from TAC on SP2 release timeline (other than the
standard 8 week answer) assuming the SMU makes it in.

I can also tell you in both lab environment and production environments on 9904
and 9010's running MOD-80-TR & MOD-160-TR's with both 20x1GE and 8x10GE MPA's
I have seen upgrading to SP1 seems to trigger an FPD issue where it will tell
you the FPD upgrade has completed successfully but you'll see the MPA in the
following state:

x/x/x A9K-MPA-8X10GE 1.1 spa fpga8 0 ?????.????? Yes

Forcing you to perform the following to recover:

hw-module subslot x/x/x shutdown unpowered

commit

no hw-module subslot x/x/x shutdown unpowered

commit

Not a big deal but will take further time in your MW you may not have planned
for.

TAC's stance on this was "transient issue" :)

I did not see this issue when testing 5.3.4 alone.

In full disclosure, in all of these cases I was replacing RSP440-TR's with
RSP880-TR's and installing MOD400(s) as well . Not sure how or if they are
related since the effected MOD's where I saw the issue are Typhoon based but
thought I would pass that along in the event it's relevant to your environment.

Subject: [c-nsp] Which one is the stable version of Cisco IOS XR?

Hi All,

I have found on Cisco website the Suggested version of Cisco IOS XR is
5.3.4 but the latest version is 6.1.3. Basically, my router will perform as
edge router that need BGP, VRF, and Policer. Could you please advise which
one is the stable version of Cisco IOS XR? Thanks for your sharing in
advance.

Regards,
Try Chhay
