It's actually future-proofed up to 14.2Tbps/slot.

I'm loving this box for dedicated 40Gbps and 100Gbps edge ports for
customers. I've found that mixing-and-matching 1Gbps/10Gbps ports with
40Gbps/100Gbps ports in our MX480 is reasonably costly. So the MX10003
is a welcome addition.
