Do they take up a call slot on the phone? I just learned they stay displayed on
the phone (neat) but do they count towards the max calls for the line?
Thanks!

Parked calls do not stay on the phone. They do have a reversion timer to ring
the phone again after a certain amount of time, but other than that, the phone
no longer owns the call.

Chris,
Have you ever parked a call on a RoundTable phone?
Park and Retrieve a Call Using Park
1. During a call, press the Park softkey or button, then hang up.
Your phone displays the number where the system parked the call. The parked
call is put on hold, and you can press the Resume softkey to resume the call on
your phone.

Matthew,
I don't know if it counts or not, my test phone doesn't seem to have a park
number available.
Thanks

Looks like my 9971 doesn't have park available either, so I can't test at this
moment. Let me see what I can do in the lab.

I just tested in my lab. My 9971 has a Max Call of 4 and Busy Trigger of 2.
I call to it from the first phone and hit park. I saw the call as a "held" call.
I then called from a second phone, the 9971 rang, I answered. I placed that
call on hold.
I then called from a third phone, the 9971 still rang and I was able to answer
it.
So I think the answer is that using park does NOT occupy a call on the line
from which you parked it. It simply lets you know that that call hasn't been
picked up yet. Once the parked call is picked up, it will disappear from the
9971 screen.

Rumor I heard was that ILS (CUCM9+) was favored over CCD/SAF as CCD/SAF was
developed by the data network guys without any input from the voice folks...
take the rumor however you'd like and if you don't have a 9.x cluster then
you're obviously not going to be talking about ILS at all. . .?

Hello All,
I have a scenario with a Central CME and a remote site connected via VPN
with a 2801 at the remote site. PRI at central site. I would like to get a
DID routed over the VPN to an FXS port on the remote router. Remote router
is not running telephony-services, just routing. Is this possible and if so
can someone give me a high level overview? Thanks in advance!
