I had a 2524 with two 8MB Flash SIMMs in it (giving me 16MB). I pulled one, and moved it to another router. Now, suddenly, the remaining flash SIMM is read-only. I can still boot, because the IOS is still there, I just can't upgrade or change IOSes at all. Config-register is 0x2102, so it's not that .. am I just unfamiliar with some sort of "format" command on the 2500 platform?
