PacBell DSL, PPPoE & Cisco routers

Where can I get more information about PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) ? This is
the protocol that PacBell uses for providing DSL services. PacBell uses a
Alcatel Speed Touch Home hi-speed modem.

Can I use a router with this set-up ? How ?
