Try to use "sh ver" on the router and check the image. the following output sh
cat6000 family.  Hope that helps

Can some please inform me, what command tells me what kind a router or
switch i am telnetting to. I have to telnet into about a hundred routers and
do an inventory of cards, i dont know how to tell what series router it
is.thanks in advance.
