general question....pretty simple..but it is really confusing for me... if im telneting to a router...and im coming in through the console port, i think its the console port.. (216.54.*.*)......but the router is "dumb" ( no configuration whatsoever)...3 interfaces, e0, s0, s1...i've giving those interfaces inter ip addresses (10.*.*.* etc, )... i try to ping an outside ip address.....mine for instance 24.115.*.* but that fails..... i try to set the default gate-way as the same ip address i came in from (216.54.*.*), i know thats a long shot....but ofcourse that dosent help either =( any suggestions??? thankyou all for the 4th time this week!!!!!
