I had the CBTs (ForeFront/CBT Systems) for CCNA 1.0 (gosh that seems so long ago) and found them to be reasonably useful. I will note that I don't believe they go into enough detail in some areas but that can be offset by the fact that they provide a graphical explanation for everything, which I found very useful. As a suggestion, I would use the CBTs as an initial study source, but I would recommend checking out the documentation on CCO to fill in the gaps. How well does it cover everything? Specifically I'm wondering which are most important. From what I have read from this list the OSI model is the main thing to learn, but there is a lot of other stuff covered in the CBT's. I'll list the CBT's any comments on them appreciated. Cisco IOS 11.3: Internetworking Overview 1 and 2 (I get the idea that these two are the main things I should study) Appletalk Banyan Vines Config DECnet Config Frame Relay Config X.25 Config Router Config Basics Implementing Distance Vector Routing Proticol Implementing Router Appletalk IPX Overview & Address Managing Traffic & Access TCPIP & Cisco Routers TCPIP Addressing Wan Connections These are all CiscoIOS 11.3 any advice on studying with these CBT's appreciated. Which are important? Do they get the job done alone? If they aren't so hot maybe I should hold off and look for some material on CCNA 2.0.
