Anything you can get you hands on, even if it's help desk at an ISP or
similar.. Not really any rules ..
As long as you are in the industry and LEARNING from what you are doing
you are going forward..
Even help desk can be a great earning tool. as long as you use it as such
..
Even if you don;t do 2nd or 3 rd level ..
See if you can figure what the problem was and make notes then when it's
quit drop and email to the person who resolved it then compare notes ..
If you don't understand ASK and or research and soon enough you may be
he 2nd and or 3rd level
remember the OSI layer ?
Application You have to apply yourself
Presentation You have to present your skills to you boss
Session You have to make every work session a learning session
Transport transport yourself further down the road
Network network YOURSELF your people network is very important
Data Link too tired to think of something
Physical get physical with knowledge and ALWAYS start here when
troubleshooting
