hi! all.
I thought that the router only forwards the DHCP
request from clients to DHCP server.
So, can router dynamically allocate ip addresses for
DHCP requesting clients without reaching to DHCP
server? Then the router also should have same stack of
all ip addresses on its memory.. How does router get
all ip addresses? Does it receive from DHCP server?
If the router serves ip addresses, what is the benefit
of it?
Could somebody answer this?
Thanks in adv.
