You can install the SUNLink SNA product in your SUN Solaris machine and it
will speak SNA and probably support your application.

I think that's what you're looking for. You don't want to "access" the IBM
SNA application from your SUN machine, I think you said you want to migrate
your application to reside in the SUN machine itself, right !?

About TN3270 -> I personaly would not burn a CIP router with TN3270, I would
let the TN3270 server running on the MVS(mainframe) side of the house.  See
that SNA applications have very peculiar ways to address network resources,
so you need to assess whether TN3270 can attend your needs.

It boils down to what type of application this is and what the actual
application requirements are in terms of network connectivity.

It is possible to have the router act as a gateway so that IP hosts (like
your SUN machines) can access the IBM host and the traditional SNA 
applications.  Probably the most easy way to do it is with TN3270 server 
functionality which is available on a Cisco router with the CIP card.
