Richard,

It does seem a bit confusing at first. This is what I have found. There
are 2 different types of clients. The clients are, software client on a PC,
software upgrade to the hardware client VPN3002. The "upgrade option"
points at both of them but in different methods.

The VPN Concentrator can talk to the VPN3002 hardware client to perform a
push of the software for the hardware client. This is configurable on the
VPN Concentrator to send the newest version when it sees the hardware client
come on line.

The VPN Concentrator can talk to the software clients on PC's through a
notification process. It cannot push the software to the client. It can
notify the users that use software clients of a website where they can
download the latest and greatest. The notification does not have to be a
URL. It can be a message stating "Contact your Administrator for the latest
version" or something similar. You type in what you would like them to see,
URL or a message. The VPN Concentrator is configured to watch for any
version lower than the version you specify. Then any client that logs onto
the VPN Concentrator, with a lower version than specified, will recieve the
notification. They cannot connect to the Concentrator until they click on
the "ok/close" button of the notification screen. Anyone that does have the
required version does not see the notification.

I hope this helps.
