Dennis,
        I am setting up labs from BCMSN. I found I had to follow this order
to have all LANs operational. Now I am trying to figure out the ACLs. Just
be aware that most white papers deal w/ 5000 series. Many commands will not
work. There are in the IOS but not functional.
        If anyone that has taken the BCMSN that has areas of focus info
would greatly be welcomed.
        Please see my notes below:

Lab consists of cat 4006 w/ L2 (5.5), L3 12.0(7)w5(15d), and two win2000,
PC2 ~ VLAN 2 (2/12), PC3 ~ VLAN 3 (2/13)
sc0 = 10.0.0.2/24, VLAN2 = 20.0.0.1/24 PC2=20.0.0.2/24, VLAN3 = 30.0.0.1/248
PC3 30.0.0.2/24

Can anyone tell me why i cant set up 2 vlan interfaces on the 3500 catalyst
switch which has the IOS version.
When I setup 2 vlan interfaces,one of the interfaces becomes
administratively and when even you try to bring it up with no shut.it doesnt

respond.could someone tell me why this.
