Yes, You have to do this in sequence, because the router starts looking for the file being sent from your xmodem session using hyperterminal
make sure hyperterm is already started and you have the location of the file at root because you will be prompted for it go to rommon mode do a dir to right click on the file name to paste when needed Browse to the file location... it's best to put the file at root C:\ Note: do this very quickly rommon 12 >xmodem -cfs9600 c1600-sy-mz.121-16.bin Ready? Press Enter Goto - Transfer - Send File browse to where your file is located c:\find it fast! select it and press SEND At this point you should see bytes being copied just a note on what the above parameters mean: I did this about a week ago on a 1600: Go figure... Anyway, I kind of did it by trial and error and now I was able to find it on the cisco site after the fact: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_tech_note09186a008015bfac.shtml Good Luck! /Northgatenet Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=74292&t=74278 -------------------------------------------------- **Please support GroupStudy by purchasing from the GroupStudy Store: http://shop.groupstudy.com FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html
