I have multiple Vlans configured on the Cat 3548XL and traffic between Vlans are routed via a fast isl-trunk interface on the 3640. My question is does the switch pass subsequent frames directly from host to host(MLS functionality with the higher end switches) or each and every frame/packet need to pass through the router interface?
