Chuck,
I have EtherPeek, running on a DELL latitude, with W2K Pro. I use the
following:
Farallon **Fast EtherTX-10/100 PN995-TX CardBus (21143) CRC,
Alignment,
*Runt, Oversize *Use special Digital driver with EtherPeek 4.0.2 and
later for capture of error packets. See Readme.txt in Driver\Dc21x4
directory where EtherPeek is installed for installation instructions.
See http://www.wildpackets.com/support/epwhardware.html#pcmcia for other
suggested cards that are compatible with EtherPeek. The Farallon card cost
me just under 100.00 in the UK, so I'm sure it would be a lot less than
$500.00
I also have NetSense, but have never used Sniffer Pro, so cannot compare
them.
Hope this helps.
