You have a routing loop. This is a Bad thing.
Can be caused by:
1. Improper Route Redistribution
2. Drunk SysAdmins
3. Tiny Elves with evil intentions
4. A (non-permanent) static route that has gone down on a router that has a
default route set. (This one is sneaky) (So that's what the "permanent"
keyword does at the end of a static route...)
5. (On the internet) Improper AS_Path filtering in BGP.
Reccomendations:
1. "Show Ip route" on both routers and look at the administrative distances
of the looping routes.
2. Look for Less specific, but correct routes to the correct destination
hosts.
3. Look up the Admin distances to find the offending routing protocols.
4. If you are doing redistribution, use a distribute list to remove the
loop.
5. If you are using static routes, make them permanent
6. Get a ACME Evil Elf Trap..
7. Equip your router Console,Aux, and VTY ports with a Drunk SysAdmin
detector.
Good Luck
