Hello Group,

The following is a list of used equipment that I was thinking about
purchasing for about $8000. Is it worth it? Thanks!!

This is everything you need to study at home for your CCIE. As you know,
CCIE's are worth well over 6 figures these days; this equipment pays for
itself and it retains its resale value, so you can use this to prepare for
the CCIE Lab exam and then sell this equipment to a friend who is the next
to conquer the CCIE!!!
Three (3) Cisco 2501
One (1) Cisco 2511 (Async)
One (1) Cisco 2513 (Token Ring)
Cisco 4500M (4 serial ports)
(This operates as your frame relay switch I the middle of your CCIE Lab Gig)
Three (3) BayNetworks 10-BaseT Hubs!
HP 10:10 LAN BridgeMB (RMON Probes)!!
Motorola Model DA-56
Three MicroMMAC-24T 24-port Token Ring Hubs!!!

Lantronix ETS8P
Intel Netport Express XL Token Ring Print Server (While I doubt you will get
much practical use out of this old dog, you use it as a Token Ring Node so
that you can verify connectivity when working your 802.2)
IBM PCMCIA Token Ring network card (hard to find!)
Miscellaneous Cisco serial cables (about a dozen)
Miscellaneous fiber optic cables (about half-dozen)
Some Ortronics Velcro cable ties Power cords
Miscellaneous Cisco documentation (Your choice if you want to pay for
shipping these things)
