Multiport NIC

Have a look into Intel Dual-port Server adapter PRO100+.
We are using them om NT 4.0 servers on fault tolerant mode.
In our setup each ports are connected to different hubs.
These hubs ar connected to different ethernet ports on Cisco 7513
and bridged together.
Router also running IRB for connection to other interfaces.

Unplug any LAN cable and server will continue running.

SUN? Dont know
