In case anyone is curious, the fix I had to use was to take the boot flash from the
router that wouldn't boot, place it in an operational 4500, and then tftp the
bootflash image to it, then replace it in the original 4500. It was a pain in the
butt, but good experience, which is what it's all about (for me anyway). My best to
you all.

Subject: no flash or bootflash on 4500

Folks,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to review this problem. I have come
into possession of a Cisco 4500 that has no bootflash or flash images. I have access
to images on a TFTP server, but from ROMMON mode, there SEEMS to be no way to gain
access to said images. Rest assured that I have searched the archives, as well as the
CCO and comp.dcom.sys.cisco and have found no solution. There is no option to
retrieve the files via TFTP or XMODEM, so I am at a loss. Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Michael W. Oliver
