Sar,
Well let's start with one of the more famous questions "What's the
problem I'm trying to solve..?" This could be a couple of problems. First,
check to make sure you're not running the broken version of Hyperterm. This
could very well be your problem. Hilgrave has an updated client(version
5.0) I believe that fixes an old problem with NT and the break key sequence.
Personally I use a program called SecureCRT which is an awesome
program(ssh1&ssh2 support). If this isn't the problem then depending on
your config-register it could be set to disable the break key. A "sh ver"
from the prompt should tell you what you how config-register bits are set.
It should be something along the lines of 0x2102 or 0x2142. The latter
would allow the router to bypass the configs stored in NVRAM and enter the
setup dialog. From there you should be good to go.. On setting the
register bits simply visit cisco's web site and you'll get al the info you
need.
HTH
Nigel..
