So is it technical possible to run a router with less Flash than required if
you load from a TFTP server?

So you can sleep at night. Lets say you have a power outage. Your router
will most likely boot up way before your tftp server... Router will give up
trying to do its netload / tftp and boot from rom. Then when your tftp
server finishes booting back up it will be too late.
UPS you say? Most UPS's only last for half hour to an hour tops. Are you a
gambling man?

Say you have a router with 8 meg of Flash which requires 16 to run an IOS.
Given that you can upload the IOS from a TFTP server directly into DRAM why
would you need to upgrade flash?
