Hi Hans,
I do not know what E1 module you have, but if you follow the link below, you
can see that the E1 module they're talking about there needs IOS version
12.0(5)T or later.

(watch for word wrap)

I got this info typing in "3600 e1" (without the "'s).

i tried to install a 3640 with E1 interfaces (RJ48) - but
seemingly this router isn`t compatible with these
interfaces- i tried several IOSs - only IOS 12.07 XK1
detects these interfaces -
but after configuring the interfaces - nothing happens.
the whole configuration works fine on a c2600 with E1 interfaces.
any idea.
