External routes that are advertised throughout the OSPF domain at a cost
equal to their metric at the point of redistribution.

Type 1 external routes are advertised into the OSPF domain at the cost equal
to the cost at the redistribution point plus the accumulated cost of the
OSPF links traversed.

Subject: OSPF E2 Routes

I am studying for the BSCN. In the Advanced Router Configuration book by
Cisco Press they mention OSPF E2 Routes as if you know what they are. Okay,
I'm stupid. What are they?

Thank you.
