I'm trying to clear a line that is hung for some reason:
RCORP#sho users
Line User Host(s) Idle Location
* 2 vty 0 idle 00:00:00 10.1.100.180
3 vty 1 rdnvr 04:24:08 10.1.100.171
5 vty 3 idle 00:00:00 10.1.100.171
Interface User Mode Idle Peer Address
RCORP#clear line 3
% Ambiguous command: "clear line 3"
RCORP#clear line?
line linecard
RCORP#clear line ?
% Ambiguous command: "clear line "
Why is it not recognizing this command? I'm also noticing it when trying to
turn on cef accounting.
First, to prove we have ip cef running:
RCORP#sho ip cef
Prefix Next Hop Interface
0.0.0.0/0 10.1.120.75 Ethernet0/2
0.0.0.0/32 receive
10.1.100.0/24 attached FastEthernet3/0
10.1.100.0/32 receive
10.1.100.1/32 10.1.100.1 FastEthernet3/0
RCORP#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
RCORP(config)#ip cef ?
% Ambiguous command: "ip cef "
RCORP(config)#ip cef accounting ?
% Ambiguous command: "ip cef accounting "
RCORP(config)#ip cef ?
% Ambiguous command: "ip cef "
RCORP(config)#ip cef
RCORP(config)#
Personally, this is spooky. I hope this is fixed in 12.2T, or one day I
might see this:
RCORP#conf t
% Amgiguous command: "conf t"
