I use Sniffer Pro and Ethereal often. I like both of
them. Sniffer Pro supports alot more and Ethereal is
free and does a decent job at LAN/Ethernet traffic.
Ethereal also can decode application packets for
applications like Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Quake, ICQ,
etc which can be useful. This is available on most
*nix flavors and has a win32 port. www.ethereal.com
