Has anyone played around with the SNASim product from www.acomtech.com?
I'd like to setup some SRB and DLSw labs, but I don't have any way to
create SNA traffic. Some of the study docs I've read suggest running
NetBIOS over the links, but I'd rather run SNA, if possible.
I don't really understand how the mainframe LU/PU/3270/tn3270
connection works, but I was hoping this product would emulate the
"server" end of the SNA traffic. I still need to figure out how to get
the client side working -- I'm guessing that the Extra! type client is
meant to connect to an IP-SNA gateway somewhere, and I'm not sure how
to make a PC talk SNA (natively).
Any input is welcomed, I'd like to either get some help making it work,
or a definitive reason why it wont, so I can move on to other things.
