I wrote the Designing Cisco Network class, Version 1.0.

I left Cisco to write my book, Top-Down Network Design which greatly
expanded on the course. I tested my design processes in my consulting work
and tweaked them.

In the meantime Cisco developed the CCDA certification and exam and ported
the DCN course to book format, hiring Diane Teare to do the editing. I
tried to convince them not to do this but failed.

So my book is more detailed and more real-world but not exactly targeted to
the exam.

For a really bizarre experience, try the Cisco CCDA Training Kit CD from
Cisco Press where they merged PDF pages from DCN and my book into a pseudo
computer-based training.

I haven't seen the final version of the Cisco Press CCDA Exam Certification
Guide, but that's yet another Cisco Press option.
