No- a stick of 2500 FLASH is compatible in a ton of Cisco devices, but it
does not go the other way. 4000's,2600's, & 3600's take a different make
that will not register on a 2500. I believe their memory is slower (think
it's 80ns, while the 2500 could be as fast as 60ns).

Good Luck
Phil

the flash for the cisco series 2600 and some 2500 series router is
compatible with those of the Series 4000 and 4000-M routers.&nbsp; Have you
guys experienced this before?&nbsp; I urgently need to upgrade the flash
both my 4000 and 4000-M series.&nbsp; In addition, if this is true and it
does work how will this affect the boot process?&nbsp; Any
suggestions?</DIV>
