where is the contents of access-list 101 that the dialer group refers to????
Also the cause maybe that serial 1 and async 5 are in the same ip subnet
which I am assuming is active at the stage that serial 0 goes down???
Maybe even try adding a default route out the async interface with a higher
metric. i.e. ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 async 5 200

Subject: Re: why the modem doesnot dial after 10s?
Try to configure a dialer interface instead of directly using Async5.
