By  the way:

I had as i stated the right MTU .
my config is also right.....on bay and cisco.

I have found the problem ...it was related to the ios on the bay router....I
was hitting
my head againt the wall......Thank good ness a buddy of mine at work saved
the day.

but :
learned the gaotchas between these products.
MTU size
are notation.
