Sorry Paul- not a lot of compassion from this camp.  Your employer's dolling
out a nice sum of $$$ for your career.  Footing the travel & nights (or
weeks) stay in a nearby city that offers this Global class does not seem too
above & beyond the call of duty.  The odds are very against you staying with
this present employer if you should pass the lab.  I know it's taken 100's
of hours to get myself in the position just to begin to study for CCIE lab,
not to mention families financial commitment of the so far almost $12,000 in
a homelab.
